Program Highlights
Au Pair placement with Spanish host family from 1 month up to 12 months or 24 months.
Complete immersion in Spanish culture.
Working hours: Up to 20 hours per week, normally from Monday to Friday for a maximum of 4 hours daily, including babysitting.
Private room & Full board 7 days a week
Up to 50€ per week as pocket money
One night of babysitting but not in free days. If hours of babysitting exceed from 20 hours weekly, they will need to be paid as extra.
Weekends free to travel and explore the country.
Free time available to attend Spanish language courses daily.
One paid week’s holiday for each 6 months stay.
Support services throughout the program.
Events and social agenda for au pairs.
Secondary placement if required.
Job Description
Childcare and light housework mainly related to the kids for up to 20 hours weekly.
Language interaction with kids or family to help them to learn English or other languages.
Au Pair’s responsibilities may include: Awaking the children and making breakfast, dressing the children, bathing and playing with the children, preparing simple meals for the children, making the children’s beds and straightening their rooms, doing the children’s laundry and ironing their clothes, driving children to and from school, helping the children with school homework, helping with the language, babysitting at night, if required au pair may be home while children are absent from school due to illness or holidays, light household duties in common areas.
Requirements
Aged between 18 and 30 y.o.
English native or very good level of English preferred. French and German native are also highly valued.
Basic knowledge of Spanish language recommended but Spanish families accept au pairs with no knowledge of Spanish.
European citizens do not need any visa, non European citizens staying longer than 3 months do need either a student or au pair visa.
Be a non smoker or be willing not to smoke in the host’s family home. Some families will accept smokers.
Be in good health and fitness to work with children and participate in day to day family duties.
Medical coverage in the event of sickness, maternity or accident; either by national social security legislation (EU citizens hold the European Health Insurance Card) or by a private insurance to be arranged by the au pair (non EU citizens).
Have no criminal record.
Desire to care for children, must enjoy children and have childcare abilities. Practical childcare experience is preferred (baby-sitter, camps, nursery, au pair, mother’s help…)
Responsible, committed, open minded, flexible, mature, have a positive attitude and good communication skills.

Placement as Au Pair in Spain. Most placements are in the city of Madrid but there are families all over Spain.

Pick up from airport by host family
