Language interaction/teaching with kids or family to help them to learn English or other languages for up to 15 hours weekly.
Language assistant’s responsibilities may include: Teaching their native language to the kids or family. Helping the kids with homework in English or other languages. Organizing activities to encourage language interaction with the kids in English or other languages required.
Requirements
Aged between 18 and 30 y.o.
English native or very good level of English preferred. French and German native are also highly valued.
TEFL or similar certificate course will be very valuable. Desire for teaching English or native language.
Basic knowledge of Spanish language recommended but Spanish families accept au pairs with no knowledge of Spanish.
European citizens do not need any visa, non European citizens staying longer than 3 months do need either a student or au pair visa.
Be a non smoker or be willing not to smoke in the host’s family home. Some families will accept smokers.
Be in good health and fitness to work with children and participate in day to day family duties.
Medical coverage in the event of sickness, maternity or accident; either by national social security legislation (EU citizens hold the European Health Insurance Card) or by a private insurance to be arranged by the au pair (non EU citizens).
Have no criminal record.
Responsible, committed, open minded, flexible, mature, have a positive attitude and good communication skills.
